What Is Proximity Key?

A proximity key (also named Push Button Start.Keyless Access.Keyless Entry, Intelligent Key, Smart Key or Push-to-Start) is a computerized device that authorizes a automatic door access and ignition mechanism in your car.
When driver is within the relevant radius, the smart key communicate using audio and infrared frequency waves with your immobilization computer to open and close doors and even to start up the engine with the key in the pocket.
Way back in 1998, Mercedes-Benz was the first to present this platform in the automotive industry.
In today’s world, automotive owners can take advantage of proximity fobs and push to start ignition on most car models and use operations such as power windows, alarm, automatic door unlocking or locking, mirror adjustment and many more.
